Escalation.
The Carney regime needs to understand that the U.S. and Israel do not get to launch an unprovoked war of aggression on Iran, murder Iran's supreme leader who also happened to be one of Shi'a Islam's most senior clerics destroy critical civilian objects, murder hundreds of civilians, and say, "OK. We're done for now. See you in 6 weeks, months, or years, when we will do it again."
And vassals of the U.S. empire, like the Carney regime, do not get to call for de-escalation "by all parties" as if Iran does not have a legitimate right, enshrined in Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, to destroy U.S. military bases in West Asia, the U.S. economy, and the Israeli state to prevent a recurrence in the future.
The U.S. and Israel leaving aside 47 years of vicious, unprovoked U.S. economic sanctions on Iran, endless demonization of the Islamic Republic, and interminable threats of the use of force against Iran in contravention of Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter have carried out numerous assassinations of Iranian scientists, military personnel, and political leaders and, twice in the last 10 months, launched unprovoked wars of aggression against Iran in the midst of negotiations that according all parties concerned were progressing constructively.
Prime Minister Carney should confine his activities to peddling debt and pumping up financial asset bubbles, where his skill set lies, and stop uttering verbal gibberish concerning geopolitics, about which he knows nothing.
Foreign Minister Anand should resign or be fired for incompetence.
The only acceptable outcome of the war in Iran is the destruction of the U.S. empire and its genocidal colony known as Israel.
A reckoning for the murder of tens of millions of people, displacement of hundreds of millions more, and the deliberate destruction of entire countries not least Libya and Syria by the U.S. since WWII has arrived.
Mr. Carney and Ms. Anand will do Canadians a huge favour if they just keep their mouths shut.
