Please say goodbye to U.S. brainwashing.

The Vancouver Sun published "Opinion: Farewell to my American friends. It's over," on Feb. 3, 2025.

Below is my response:

Please say goodbye to USAID funding Canadian media to repeat the insulting U.S. imperial narrative that Russia and China have "tired territorial ambitions." Russia and China want – and have – relations based on mutually beneficial trade, sovereign equality, and indivisible security with two-thirds of the population of this planet.

Please say goodbye to NATO, an instrument of U.S. aggression that destroyed Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Ukraine on the basis of bald-faced lies sold to the Canadian public with USAID-funded Canadian media repeating insulting U.S. imperial narratives.

Please say goodbye to the fantasy that the U.S. cares or ever did care about anyone's "democracy, freedom, and human rights," including the U.S. population's, and wake up to the fact that murderous U.S. tyranny began long before Trump, who is a symptom of U.S. depravity, not its cause.

Please say goodbye to the conceit that Canada is not complicit in the interminable, brazen, despicable, violent crimes committed by the U.S. and wake up to the fact that there is an Axis of Evil on this planet and it consists of the U.S., Israel, Ukraine, NATO, and the Five Eyes.

And please say goodbye to the carefully cultivated Russophobia and Sinophobia Canadians are brainwashed into taking for granted as reflective of reality and say hello to a world without the U.S. empire meddling in the internal affairs of every country it can get its hooks into, interfering in everyone's elections, and overthrowing governments whose leaders will not submit their countries to plunder by U.S. banks and corporations.
